Random Fort Wayne Christmas Pics
First present opened this year, a tummy mat. Complete with its own aquarium for minutes of batting practice.
Here’s a pic of Dad being forced to hold me while all he wants to do is tweet. He is such a nerd!
Family picture time!
Aren’t I pretty!
Grandma and her girls.
Two grandmas at once. Don’t fight there’s plenty of me to go around.
What, even more Grandma. This place rocks!
Thanks for a great visit. Unfortunately, I must be movin’ on. Hope to see you all soon.

Monkey Christmas
There always seems to be a theme with Nana. So this year it was the Sock Monkey. Matching monkey hats with Natalee!
Oh, yeah — nice to meet you Aunt Natalee. In case you didn’t get the memo, I am the new Sheriff in town. Name’s Kayla.
And a matching Sock Monkey jack-in-the-box. Kayla wasn’t startled by the surprise of a monkey jumping out of the box, but she quickly learned to wait for him and then promptly grab him and shove him in her mouth.

How It Began
OK, when I have an insatiable urge to bungee jump later in life…we will all know why!
Hope they give me a slobber towel then too!

My First Christmas
Today was my first Christmas. Santa apparently makes an early trip to our house since we spend the actual Christmas in Indiana. Last night we all got prepared by making cookies for Santa and reindeer chow for his reindeer.
Then when I woke up Mom made me pose next to this stack of crinkly boxes. My sisters soon ripped them to pieces and then shoved various weird things in my face. There was a teddy that lit up, a worm that lit up, and some other toys. All in all a pretty exciting day I guess.

Exersaucer
I love my saucer. Everywhere I look there is another toy. Some jingle, some click, and some taste super yummy. And I get to stand. What’s not to love about this thing?

Four Month Check-Up
Today was Kayla’s four month check-up. Big topic of the visit was baby food. She gets to start eating cereals now, which we’ve already started. She also gets to start on veggies in about one month. So far the cereals are tolerated in only small amounts so we are holding out on the veggies for just a bit. She got two more shots and one vaccine by mouth. Her poor little legs are so tiny that it is hard for a Mommy to see her get the shots.
Kayla also got her tongue slightly clipped. Which she really hated. The doc had to pry her mouth open and clip the bottom to help her gain more movement. She was born tongue-tied so she was having trouble eating. Just a little blood but really hard to see.
She weighed in at 12 lbs. 9 oz. with a length of 25” and a head circumference of 41 cm. So this places her in the 50th percentile for weight and 85th percentile on length. Still long and lean.
