I knew this day would come this season. But I didn’t expect it to be today. Reagan actually made it happen. She came home from her first ski day of the season and convinced this 4 year old that she needs to be there. Tomorrow! The weather was good and she was still game in the morning so I figured I would give it a shot. We bundled her up in everything we had because Kayla can’t usually stand being outside for too long without freezing. And we were off!
With her own season pass, she was ready for the big chair ride. It went well. She thought it was cool being up high and all. Her first run went pretty smoothly as she rode it between my legs. However, I was dying. I wasn’t going to be able to ski her there all day with these worn out quads. We did another run and she requested lunch. Deal! I didn’t want her to get burnt, tired or cold. Time for ski food — Mac-n-Cheese, popcorn, and chocolate milk. Her choices.
Stripped her down to eat so she would be refreshed and ready to go again later. But she wouldn’t take off the toe warmers as they were too cool.
Sydney and Reagan joined us for lunch and then it was time to hit the hill again. This time, Kayla was even more pumped to go out. This was some face and crossed arms she kept making to prove she was serious. She said it was from Gangham Style video.
Here is our final run of the day. See what you think. She went from never to this in one day. Yeah, I am awesome at teaching kids. Or my kids are awesome. Or some combination of all of that.
