This was Kayla’s first trip out of the United States. I still am not sure if she grasped the concept of it being a different country. But she did get that people were speaking Spanish and where possible she should fit in. Like saying “Hola” to about everyone she met. Or counting in Spanish. Dora comes in handy!
When you get sandy, you go to the ocean.
Then you go back to the beach and start over. Please bury me, Dad. OK.
Always fun in the pool with family!
Kayla was all about snorkeling this trip. Not just saying that. She would put it on and disappear into the water and go all over the place. She really enjoyed seeing what was living under the water — and even in the bottom of the resort’s pool.
Every night at dinner, Kayla would show off her new trick to everyone that she could entertain.
After dinner, we would go to the nightly show. Kayla really loved these. She even went up on stage — well, about every night for different things. Here she plays a game of Hot Potato. Guess who wins!
After that it was time to dance to the theme song!
When it was time to leave, they may have been ready but I hope they always remember!
